I have my SBR for just one week now and in most regards I'm very happy
with the unit. My area of concern is the dropping of my connection to my
wireless router at random times. It might stay connected for 36 hours
and then disconnect 5 times in the next 24 hours - I can't say I see any
particular pattern. It has happened during the night when all is quiet
on my network.

The random disconnects concern me, but more worryingly is the fact that
the SBR does not seem to automatically reconnect to the network when a
disconnect happens. The disconnect is obvious by the red network icon
and end of streaming. To reconnect I must power the unit off and on
again (hard power off as opposed to soft power off), which seems to work
every time.

My setup is: SBR hardware version 5 with firmware version 7.4.1-r7915.
Connected to Netgear WGR614 v9 wireless router with 64-bit WEP
encryption - signal strength is consistently 80-90%. I connect either to
SBS (Version: 7.4.1-r28947) running on a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo or, more
commonly, to MSB. I have a SB2 and SB3 (both wireless) also being served
by the same Netgear NAS on the same network and have never experienced
network disconnects (or if I have I have never noticed as the SBs
reconnect to the network automatically).

The SBR's disconnects from, and failure to automatically reconnect to
my network have me wondering if I have a defective unit or just a
firmware revision that has this behaviour, which will hopefully be
addressed at a later release. Or is it possible that I'm missing
something else?
