Are you connected to local Squeezebox Server (SBS) or via mysb.com? Sync'ing internet radio via mysb.com isn't likely to work well, but with SBS it should be fine. For sync'ing volume control, on SBS go to Settings > Player > Synchronize > Synchronize Volume. I don't believe this setting is available on mysb.com.
