Yes, you must be on one, or limit use to just the Audio Input on your player (if it has one) for an iPod type device. SqueezeBox Server will do everything MySqueezeBox.com will do and MORE, and is far more customizable. But if you have no local music, or just want to turn off your computer, you can switch to MySB for Internet Radio, Podcasts, Music Services, etc...
