I would disagree. Especially from across the room. The biggest
differences in the interface are

- Radio's color, graphics capable display vs. Boom's text only
monochrome.

- Radio's multi-line display vs. Boom's one or two lines.

- Boom's _much_ larger text, particularly using the large single-line
font.

- Dedicated volume knob on the Radio.

- Much more comfortable button spacing on the Boom.

The multi-line display is nice, but you have to be right on top of it,
using the font panel controls. Boom's larger text, IMO, more than makes
up for it as it's readable from across the room. I don't miss the
volume knob at all on the Boom. Color graphics are eye-candy and,
again, only a factor if you're sitting right on top of the Radio.

You used to be able to buy a full-sized Squeezebox remote on the Slim
Devices site for $10 or $20, but with Logitech, God only knows. The
remotes that come with either the Boom or the Radio accessory pack are
miniature, bare-bones things that have only a handful of usable buttons.
