I just voted for the bug. Right now I use an extra Boom remote on my Radio, and this has been an annoyance. Since it will be hard to differentiate between the "Boom" remote and "Radio" remote if there are slight internal changes, it would be easy to get the wrong one next to my radio. Hopefully it's something which can be addressed in the Radio firmware. Suggest others vote on the bug if it's important to you.
