I would recommend that you try updating your software (the latest 7.4.x
are 7.4.3-r8553 for the radio and 7.4.3 - r30375 for the sbs) as it is
always best to have matching sbs and firmware versions.

It would also be interesting to get some log files from the radio. It
might be that the radio looses its server connection briefly and then
thinks it has missed an alarm and thus uses the looping backup alarm.
To get the logs you have to enable the SSH access on the radio itself
(Settings > Advanced > Remote Login > Enable SSH). The logs are in
/var/log/ . To get the log file(s) use the following command with the
MacOS X terminal.app (for example):
