Methinks I bought a pig in a poke.
It's not so much that the technology isn't ready for public consumption, it's more the varied configurations of the setups. A normal radio is a much simpler device. Basically, you plug it in, and tune in to existing broadcasts. The SB radio has the same basic principle, except that everyone has a different router and wifi setup in their homes. Sure, there are standards but that doesn't mean every router and every setup follows them to the line. And this is before taking into account a PC connection and that every PC is different hardware, software and configurations where a lot of things can go wrong. This is all inside the house still. Once you leave the home, every router along the route has to work, the bitcasters have to work, your ISP has to work etc. A lot of things can go wrong. I've had a SB2 for years, and a Boom for over a year which has had very few issues. And as also mentioned here. Many people come to these forums because they have problems, but those many more without issues will never be heard. I do sympathise with you. My radio also has serious problems, and I do hope Logitech sort these out as quickly as possible as well. One thing is though, you will find most of the people here very helpful. -- Justme ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Justme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=369 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76464 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
