Had the same problems with my 7.5 SBR 2 days ago. There was no clock display in the "Now Playing" and thus no clock-screensaver. Rebooting didn't help.
Solved it by connecting to My Squeezebox Server once. The time came up again, so did the clock screensaver. Never happend before ... strange.
