Guys on the chance that I will be thought an idiot (like that's not happened before), I must confess to accidentally doing something that appears to have cured the intermittent connectivity issues I was having after upgrading to 7.4.2.
In despair one morning after the Boom quit playing abruptly, I unplugged the thing and left it along a couple of days. When I decided to plug it in finally, it went through some sort of reconfiguration boot-up procedure. Perhaps it established a new IP address. Heck, I don't know what it was doing! Anyway, I asked it to play a genre of songs. Lo and behold it started playing and played on and on. No loss of connectivity. Not wanting to quite believe what I heard. I turned it off and the next day had the same good fortune. Is it possible that unplugging the unit and then powering it back on reset something? Back in the day, rebooting Windows was pretty much the standard fix for many ills! Could this be the same deal? -- NoBite ------------------------------------------------------------------------ NoBite's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37078 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76464 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
