Called support today. Narrowed it down to a messed up networking card. Took it back to Best Buy (5 days shy of 30 days haha lucky) and exchanged it based on Logitech advice. Sure enough new player works smoothas silk. Just like the last one did for weeks. Absolutely 0 stutter and only connected through mysqueezebox.com and also no stutter connecting through a local Squeezebox Server. Yep all wirelessly too. Let's hope this one lasts longer than 3 weeks.
