Downloading the podcast and making it look like an album in squeezebox
server is an option. But that requires a lot of work if a new episode
comes out. That will require a renumbering of the 'tracknumbers' if you
want the latest episode to be the first in the list.

Yesterday I uploaded the xml file of my local podcasts to a
world-accessible webpage and I entered the url to the mysqueezebox
podcast player. The xml file is unaltered and contains information that
is only accessible on my local lan (addresses like 192.168.1.10). That
works!

So, now I have a podcast player on all my players AND can refer to
local content.
