As well as posting here, I raised a ticket on the Logitech Support
website ... couldn't face another conversation with their service
desk!

Here's the reply:

your concern.

> There is already a hardware failure on this radio. We will be
processing a replacement of the radio.

So, looks like they're sending me a new radio!
