Totally agree. The alarm popup is one of my main annoyances since getting the radio. Best option I can suggest so far is to press the back button to dismiss the menu and then use Erlands excellent custom clock to override the now playing screen so you can see the time.
Frankly can't believe that such a basic usabilty issue still hasn't been resolved. Whilst alarm is playing (or while it's snoozing) seeing the time would seem to be a pretty obvious requirement. This has all been discussed several times before to no avail. Personally I would be happy if it was possible to turn off the popup alarm menu, or preferably to replace it with a configurable screensaver.
