Thanks for the response. Not sure that's the case, though. I unplugged the Radio (largely since I was afraid the battery might be entirely drained otherwise) for half a day and then plugged it back in. It powered up (I did not upgrade the firmware and am running the same version I listed earlier) and then started charging the battery. Everything is working fine now...
