Mostly the other way around there is more problems *not* using a server . Btw a squeezebox is alway using a server the squeezenetwork provided by logitech is just another remote server you can use if you don't have your own.
It's less flexible and remote, but you can manage without your local server. If you have a lot of local files and/or a multiple player setup you end up running a dedicated server anyway imho . -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe'Primare and Dynadio speakers (including a pair of Contour 4 ) Bedroom/Office: Boom Kitchen: SB3 + powered Fostex PM0.4 Miscellaneous use: Radio (with battery) I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to control this ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79805 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
