Is your Squeezebox Server running the same version as your Radio? If not, when switching to Squeezebox Server will result in a prompt to upgrade. The solution to that, I believe, would be to uninstall the Squeezebox Server and download whatever version your radio is using.
I am running 7.5.0 on both radio and squeezebox server and never get a prompt. HOWEVER, I do get a prompt when going from Squeezebox Server to mysqueezebox.com. Nothing I can do about that. But I have a computer running 24/7, so I'm pretty much always on the Squeezebox Server, so I don't see any prompts.
