You should read the (very long) thread about it over in the 3rd Party Plugins forum. At a minimum, read the first post in that thread, where Gordon describes the plugin, including updates with new releases.
One of the things the plugin will do (if you want, it's all configurable) is bring your server out of hibernate/suspend a couple minutes before an alarm is supposed to go off. As for automatically switching to mysb.com, it can do that if (a) you set the plugin to put the server to sleep after X minutes of inactivity by your SB(s), or (b) you shutdown the server via SrvrPowerCtrl.
