Has anyone connected the SB Radio to an ad-hoc wlan? My cellphone, running Joikuspot, can act as an internet wlan access-point. However, the network it creates runs in ad-hoc mode, as opposed to infrastructure mode from an actual wlan access point. The Controller can connect to the cellphone and at the time of writing it is connected to MySB.com and streaming internet radio through the tiny speaker.
Now, the Radio sees the network, but it just won't connect. Wouldn't it be great to be able to just bring the SB Radio along anywhere and connect to MySB from anywhere through a cell phone? Just curious if anyone has had success.. Or a laptop acting as an wireless access-point (I didn't try it yet). I know the Controller will connect to my laptop in ad-hoc mode as well. I know some devices just won't connect to ad-hoc networks, and I suspect it to be a driver limitation. I realize the Controller must be able to, for using with the SBR without pre-existing wlan. -Skinny -- Skinny This sentence says less than a list of audio equipment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Skinny's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21538 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82408 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
