I am having the same problem. I'm connected using an ethernet cable (not wireless.) I'm listening to various radio stations, when it stops, I simply touch any control (preset button, turn volume up/down, rotate the knob, etc) and the audio starts up and continues immediately.
I've found that when this beavior starts, it continues until I shut down the Squeezebox by pressing and holding the power button, wait for it to completely shut down, then restart. Then I don't have a problem until I place the Squeezebox in standby/sleep mode by a quick touch of the power button. I've started to get in the habit of doing a complete shutdown when I leave for the day and that seems to have helped this issue.
