In local the squeezeboxserver web page check settings > mysqueezebox.com . Here you should put in your login credentials for mysqueezebox.com .
Also enable mysqueezebox.com integration . I can use the apps menu in local squeezeboxserver without problem . (it is between internet radio and favorites). And I use my apps from my Touch or Radio also without problems when connected to the local server. If this is a problem it's usually down to either that squeezebox server is not configured properly or that the squeezeboxserver or the server can not see internet, check squeezebox server logs for a clue about that.
