If you hold down the "Back" button for ~2-5 seconds it will back you out of the update screen. You will still get update prompts from time to time, but you can back out of those the same way.
As noted in the sticky post in this thread, this firmware only fixes problems that came up recently when Rhapsody made some changes to the way they stream music.
