I know this doesn't sound very helpful, but it might help pinpoint the source if I report that I've been listening to CBC Radio 1 in Montreal for much of the day and had almost no problems. At one point around 11:30 AM (EST) it shut off for a while but after I turned the radio off and on again it has worked fine.
