I can see the point – in fact it happens to me occasionally with my
Boom, where the "stopped" and "standby" screensavers are both set to
the clock, that I want to switch it on and instead switch it off. This
is of course my own fault, I can't blame that on the device.

But in order to avoid a potential annoyance that happens rarely and is
caused by a user error, they introduced a guaranteed annoyance that
happens every time in normal operation.

And now users will always routinely hit the power button twice to turn
the Radio off ... until they do this when the screen saver is not yet
active, which means that the Radio will go off with the first button
press and immediately on again with the second. I can't see how failing
to turn the Radio off is any better than failing to turn the Radio on.
