I had the same exact experience on 31/12-2010 when MySB Europe went down. When MySB came up in the afternoon my radio was unable to connect until the BIG switch was pulled.
However, the radio is one I just bought for my sister and I have NOT made a reserved IP for it in my router as I am just running burnin until it can be handed over; so that could be it. I will make a reservation and check next time MySB is down. Everything else have reserved addresses.... FYI my sister lives in Spain; Squeezeboxes are hard to find down there and way cheaper here.
