The 5 character WEP password is equivalent to a 10 character hexadecimal key (which is what the Squeezebox wants to use instead of a 5 character password).
Use this site - http://easycalculation.com/ascii-hex.php - and enter the password in the text box. Then on your Squeezebox, enter the *Equivalent Hex Value* (minus the spaces). Or, if you would prefer to set up a more secure option, I would recommend switching from WEP to WPA or WPA2 (WPA2 preferred, with AES encryption if possible).
