The bottom of my SBS/Settings/Plugins just has a check box for "xPL Interface" (i.e. the last in the list of plugins), there's no option for Updating Plugins Automatically or Show All Third Party Plugins.
I don't think I am going mad, I have a recollection that there is a setting elsewhere (on another page) to show TP Plugins, but I have no idea where it is.
