Your workplace, like most, is using NAT, to create private IPs internally.
Your squeezebox's IP is from your work's internal private IP address space on the LAN to which your hardware is connected. If I'm reading correctly, you're using 192.xxx.xxx.xxx. The IP you see reported in the 64.xxx.xxx.xxx space is your work's public IP. Various routers at your company translate the 192. addresses into the 64. address(es), and vice versa, behind the scenes for you. External sources see the public IP address - that's what you see reported. -- MrC ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=468 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87829 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
