I can't speak for the SB Radio directly, but I can tell you the similar barrel power connector on my SB Boom has failed, and it appears several if not many other Boom owners have had this problem. I must play with the power connector every time I move it. I believe the root cause of this problem is low quality parts. Barrel connectors are not supposed to fail so quickly or easily.
