It sounds very odd. I would try making sure the router is configured specifically for WPA2 mode, rather than "Auto". That can cause problems.
I would certainly enter the key manually and not use push button auto-configuration. That has never worked reliably for me. If neither of these work it is possible that you simply have a duff radio. I'd call support. Logitech are normally very good at replacing units if they cannot resolve the fault.
