The wiki is editable by anyone, the idea is that everyone should
contribute with howto's and similar information. I can admit that it
could be a lot better and that's why I put it on the wiki so the people
using them could help me document them better, I simply don't have the
time to do it myself, at least not without getting some kind of
economical compensation so I can quit my day job and spend the time
working on my plugins/applets instead. As long as they are free, I'm
afraid the amount of documentation I can provide myself is going to be
limited. The general rule is that if you don't understand something,
just ask in the forum and someone will help, this works in almost every
time, people really want to help around here.

There are limitations in what you can do as a Now Playing screen, so
the Custom Clock is nowhere near perfect as the possibilities are
greatly limited by Logitech's APIs. We have asked for improvements to
allow third party Now Playing screens, but it has so far not got
priority within Logitech:
http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=15067

However, you can replace the standard Now Playing screen completely
with a version based on Custom Clock.
1. Follow the installation instruction and install Custom Clock applet:
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Custom_Clock_applet
2. On the Radio goto: Settings/Screen/Screensavers/Custom Clock
settings/Replace Now Playing
3. Select the style you like to use instead of the standard Now Playing
screen

There currently isn't graphical previews available for all the styles,
but if someone is interested in providing that on a suitable wiki page,
I'm sure it would be appreciated by others, we could maybe use this
page:
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Custom_Clock_styles

Also please note that Custom Clock is based on a "Do it yourself"
principle with the recommendation that you should share your work so
others can use it. So the applet doesn't come with a lot of styles made
by myself, many of the included styles have been contributed by
community members and included in the distribution. This is very
important as my graphical design skills are a bit limited. So if you
decide to make your own style, please share it, someone else might want
the same thing.

You are not alone, we all want more and Logitech want to spend as few
resources as possible. What we get is a compromise that works good
enough for most people.
