Same Issue with my radio and Touch. This is one the worst upgrade... I love squeeze-family, but I think that the software is not so good as the devices: slow and suck a lot of pc resources!
For common user with no software experience, I think that these devices are not very easy. When you said: "update to Latest Nightly built" normal user are not so skilled to do this upgrade.
