Playing live radio is a BBCiPlayer plugin issue not a BBCiPlayerExtra plugin issue.
In the case of Radio4 Extra live being initiated from BBCiPlayer plugin I think if the preference is AAC live or WMA - then the BBC supplies the wrong URL to the plugin. The WMA R4 Extra URL is still the R7 URL but it seem that part of the BBC didn't tell the iPlayer developers.
