I just got my Squeezebox Radio last night. The setup was easy, the sound is incredible for its size, and I love the selection of music and apps. But about an hour later, the troubles started.
It constantly drops the wireless connection, but shows 3 or 4 bars when it is connected, and when it loses the connection, any other wireless device in the room (laptop, tablet, smartphone) continues to show the same signal strength and stays connected. Sometimes if I wait it will reconnect, but usually I have to manually rejoin the network. Sometimes it sees my network, but shows no signal strength, other times it won't see my network at all, while it sees my neighbors's networks fine. Sometimes it will ask me for the password again. Sometimes this works right away, sometimes it says it can't connect with that password, but when I resubmit it without changing it in the intry field it works. Sometimes rebooting works, sometimes not. I've tried a factory reset, that worked, but it dropped the signal again within a half hour. I've tried to reconnect a couple of times when it's on the same table as the router without it seeing a signal. I've even tried a different router, as I set up a new one last week and still have the old one, no change in its behavior. It's been less than 24 hours since I opened the box, and I'm already thinking of returning it if it's going to be this frustrating to use. It's running the latest software (it prompted me to download and install it during the initial setup), the network is using WPA2-Personal encryption, and like I said, my other wireless devices aren't having this issue. If anyone has any ideas, I'm willing to give anything a shot. If any more info would help, ask away.
