Squeezebox Radio + ReadyNAS NV+ I have my NAS set to turn off every night, and re-start in the morning.
When the NAS goes off, the Radio seems to forget what it was doing. This is true even when the Radio is off before the NAS, and on after. So, every day when I turn on the Radio, it shows a blank 'Now Playing' screen, and I have to reselect a list. I virtually always have the Radio set to Random Albums, and I've added that choice to the home screen, so it's not hard to get to, but I'd like to make it even easier. I'd like to set up the Radio so that whenever I turn it on, it heads straight to 'Random Album'. I've read this post (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69864), and it seems I could use the KidsPlay plugin to redefine one of the preset buttons to both turn the Radio on and go to Random Album. But with only six presets, I'd like to keep them for radio stations.
