Thanks for the response! That is useful info. I've since learned the rudiments of the subject, found the cache where banshee keeps its downloaded art and discovered EasyTag. I decided to imbed the covers in my files since I don't have all that many and I figure that is the most versatile. I noticed one slightly annoying thing that the radio does - there is a variety of image sizes that banshee downloaded, some of which are too big for the radio display. The radio seems to scale them to fit but it seems to fit the horizontal dimension to the display instead of the vertical. Consequently I have a lot of heads chopped off. I guess I should just figure out an optimal size and pre-scale the images if I want to get picky.
