Varies usually minutes. I suggest do you own testing. 1. Set up radio with wired connection. 2. Play station 3. Pause station. If the station is "Live" then buugfer will fill in real time so you should pause for at least 2 minutes whereas with a "Listen again" or podcast buffer may be fiiled in seconds. 4. Unpause station 5. Pull cable from radio and start timing.
