MySB will make the initial handshake, then the player will handle the stream. I don't believe MySB will do any transcoding, so if the stream isn't in a format the player can handle, it won't play it.
If you're using a local LMS, then depending on the stream, especially if it needs to be transcoded for the player (more for the older devices than the newer ones), LMS may actually make the connection and handle passing the stream to the player(s).
