Using mysb.com is the only way by design as Logitech tried to make using a player connected to LMS and a player connected to mysb.com seamless. You have the same podcast irrespective of whether you are using a local LMS or mysb.com There is an old podcast plugin which you have found which I think was left for backward compatibility. If you enable this plugin and use the mysb.com podcast entries - then you get problems.
