Not sure how many of you guys know about SageTv, but a similiar thing
happened with them except quicker.   SageTV is like a DVR version of
squeezebox,  run a central server and you can have in-expensive client
devices that connect and play video from the server.  Well when google
bought sagetv they immediately stopped sale of the hardware and
software.  SageTV became abandonware. 
I am still looking for a replacement for my sagetv system, closest is
Windows Media Center but it is lacking cheap small clients, maybe when
Ceton releases the Echo that will solve it.   Course Microsoft appears
to be ignoring MCE in the next version of windows so...
