I see the opposite: you make a server dependent on remote cloud and you
are asking for trouble. I've seen downtime on the MySqueezebox thing
here and am not impressed. There is absolutely no reason why an internet
radio appliance should need to be tethered to one single central server
- that's counter to the whole concept of the web. 

Logitech has no clue. What they need to do is focus on making
outstanding hardware, provide a nice interface and the platform for
people to create and - then get out of the way. Instead they are busy
trying to build some sort of 3rd rate walled garden. Doomed to fail.

Not that I'm surprised. I have more than one Logitech multimedia
keyboard lying in my basement, basically because they cant quite seem to
design a product with no egregious mistakes. Stopped buying from them
now. Its not just the future of Squeezebox community one should be
questioning - I cant see how Logitech itself will survive for very long.
