I'm experiencing exactly the same issue with the exact same symptoms with a squeezebox radio I just purchased - right down to the behavior of the wifi signal strength icon turning red for a second. The solution here was to upgrade to the latest LMS, which is not something I want to take on at this point. I'm running 7.5.5. currently and it works fine for all of my other devices and should work with the Radio. I've tried all of the things suggested here - factory reset and using a wired network connection rather than wireless. No joy. In addition to the annoyance of the request for update, the latest fw for the radio (which it successfully loaded from mysb.com) doesn't seem to play well with the 7.5.5 version of server software. The player doens't show up in the list of players even though it is connected to the server. If I try to play music, it appears to but no sound comes out of the radio. it plays Rhapsody fine via mysb.com. Is there something I can do other than upgrade my server software?
