I picked up a UE Radio for my youngest daughter whilst in the States last week on business. It upgraded to the latest UE firmware as soon as I switched it on. I then chose the option to upgrade it to a SB Radio which it then completed without issue.
The new radio shows a different (more recent) firmware version than that of my original radio and both say that they are upto date.
