I have an old Squeezebox boombox and Squeezebox radio which I've not used in a few years I took it out today and plugged both in I can get the boombox to work. It switches on. I can connect to wifi. Music plays. Everything is ok
However the Squeezebox radio comes back soon after bootup with a System error, would you like to send this back to Support message or something like that I did a factory reset and it looked like it was successful and I no longer get that message It threw me to the choose Language screen However the control knob doesn't cycle through the options and pushing the knob doesn't select anything If I push some of the other buttons they make a sound but nothing happens If I hit the Power off button, it doesn't power down I was wondering if anything can be done to make the Radio functional Can this be easily repaired ? Perhaps even take it apart and see if something is loose or there's a faulty switch on the control knob or whatever It's not under warranty anymore I don't have the remote anymore Would a new remote fix this i.e operate the controls through the remote as opposed to the unit itself ? Is it at all possible to connect the unit up to a PC and download the latest firmware and send it to the unit ?
