I converted my SBR to UER when that option first came up, mainly because Internet radio was subject to a lot of drop-outs at that time and UE seemed a lot more stable. With all the recent shenagans, I'm concerned that support for UER will vaporise and that the "Switch to SBR" option might also disappear. My converted SBR is only used as a bedside radio/alarm so the local server facility is of no interest to me. So, the questions are:
1. Is it sensible to switch back to SBR now? 2. Will that reintroduce the Internet Radio instability? 3. Is there any specific benefit? Any pearls of wisdom would be much appreciated. Licenced radio amateur. Electronics/IT engineer. Translator of Dutch and French to English.
