Just thought about it again: As I have some kind of access to the squeezebox directly out of WIN10/WMP, what do I need Whitebear for? (see screenshot). I even see the selected title displayed on the box (see photo), so there must be any setting in WMP or the network configuration that prohibits the stream to start.
