I contacted both the VPRO and VARA (Dutch radio stations) about the problems.
Could it be those podcasts are geo-fenced, eg. only available in the Netherlands? Not all services respect the headers we provide to handle the geo-blocking correctly. If they respond, we could probably ask them to fix this.
