To elaborate... the problem with "pause" is that the players will keep
receiving new data from the radio stream all night and since they can't
re-sync they will drift more and more between each other.
Proxied streaming doesn't solve that, the problem is that the clocks of
the players are different (especially problematic) for different players
and since they play all the data that comes in at the clock rate they
would eventually have to resync.
With local music (or tracks streamed online) they can do this because
there's always a reference in the form of the starting point of the
track but a continuous stream doesn't have any reference point so
there's nothing against which the players could re-sync.
The only way to re-sync is to completely stop the stream and then have
them re-start, all at the same point in time (because they all
re-request the stream at the same time).
