The concept to find the server is another than enter it's IP adresse into a SB. The server announces its existence by broadcasting via a certain port and the SBes look for that broadcasted announcement. Once found they offer to connect to that server. Usually it really should be enough to set a new one, when a SB says it can't connect to its server. Therefore the server and the SBes should be in the same network. Best way to achieve this is to let the router set all addresses by DHCP. To guarantee success you only have to set the gateway in the SBes right, AFAIR.
