I have a Squeezebox model X-R0001, running software version 7.7.3, on a wired LAN connection, and the alarms have for awhile been fairly unreliable or flaky. Sometimes the alarm will play the musical sound (Hibiscus), sometimes it will play the default guitar/bass/drums alarm sound, sometimes the default beep-beep. Sometimes it will start out with Hibiscus, then switch to the default sound or beep-beep, or, like this morning, it won't work at all.
I have one alarm set for 6:00am. This morning I wake up at 6:11, and the alarm hasn't gone off. So, I quickly set a new alarm for a couple of minutes later, with the Hibiscus sound. When it came time to sound, the screen momentarily changed to the alarm screen (snooze/turn off), made no sound, and immediately went off. I pulled the power cord from the back of the radio and plugged it back in to let it reboot. I then reset the time of the alarm, and it worked okay after that, but with the default alarm tune. Are there any tips on what to do to improve the alarm reliability?
