I have never heard of a "standard battery cover screw".
My radio is handily by me, so I have attached a photograph (I assume you have lost yours), and made measurements. Thread appears to be M2.5 with 5.5mm length from tip to underside of head. Head is 2.0mm thick, so overall length 7.5mm. Head diameter 8.0mm. The brass insert will accept 4.5 to 5 turns of an M2.5 screw.
